I'm still alive! Yay! I'm still not sure if there's many people who follow me... not like there's been much to follow... but I guess there might be some followers if I were to post. I just wanted to check in and say I may have been lost, but I haven't forgotten (completely) that I have a blog. =)
What have I been doing? I've been trying to establish the business on Facebook, Twitter, and Storenvy. I finally got into Pinterest (am I slow on this one?). I still have a lot to do to figure it out yet, but I'm playing around. All those who are "in the know" tell me that social media is a marketing smorgasbord just ripe for dining on and blasting your hard work and small business all over to make some big progress... so I'm trying!
In the meantime, I've managed to get another baby blanket done for a niece, just in time for another niece to come along.... and no, I don't have a big family. I only have one brother. So... I'm either working too slowly, or he's having children too quickly... it could be a slight combination of both. However, I'm half way done with the next baby blanket and I decided to do it completely different than the other two. I figured the other two girls needed something that would be a little more rough and tumble that they could drag around through their toddling years and into kindergarten. So that's what I made. Since this one will be finished long before our new baby's first birthday, I'm actually making a baby blanket. If she wants something later to be her best friend, well, I'm all for that! There's no such thing as being too old for your favorite blankie or pillow or stuffed animal. Everyone's got something to hold them together!
I've also been working on some amazing hairfalls! I never cease to amaze myself. Which is a good thing. I tend to dream BIG and accomplish small. So it's nice to know that I can achieve what I set out to do... at least in some instances. I've found that there's such things as yarn dreads too. I've been playing and working with these as well. As the business flows and I see what's liked and disliked, I will know how to go, but I enjoy learning new things, playing with new textures and just making some cool, fun, kooky, wild things.
I've got some great hair clips and accessories I've been working on as well. The possibilities never seem to end and the things my children bring home that they've made in school and that has become a huge fashion statement! I might be too slow on some of these things, at least that's my fear, but there's got to be a high demand for them if that many little girls in one town are going that crazy over them.... right?
So... my next big goal is to get booked into some shows over the summer. Not an easy task when they cost a fortune for a tiny booth with no electricity. But I shall prevail. I swear, I'm going to make it.... or break something...

...and apparently I'm still learning things about blogging... I seriously need to do this more often.
